InsurTech Hub Munich connects innovative startups with 30+ insurers and tech companies through its Venture Client Programme—a zero-equity, no-fee opportunity designed to fast-track commercial collaboration, provide startups with direct access to C-level decision-makers, explore real PoCs, co-develop use cases, and build long-term partnerships with its partners.

This year, they’re especially looking for startups that can transform the insurance sector in three key areas:

  1. Data & AI Solutions, 2. ESG / Sustainability /Climate focus  and 3. Customer Interface & Experience

Here’s a bit more detail on what they’re scouting for:

  1. Data & AI
  • Predictive analytics, AI-based risk scoring, NLP, generative AI for insurance
  • Underwriting & risk modelling (P&C, Life & Health)
  • Cloud transformation, cybersecurity, data governance
  • Regulatory compliance support tech
  1. ESG / Sustainability/Climate focus
  • Climate risk analysis, prediction, and modelling
  • Natural catastrophe modelling databases
  • Customer-focused prevention tools (e.g. alerts, monitoring, behavior incentives)
  • Sustainability reporting automation
  1. Customer Interface
  • Hyper-personalized journeys, omnichannel orchestration
  • Customer engagement platforms, claims management
  • Embedded insurance, new digital services, or cross-selling opportunities

📌 Ideal funding stage: Seed to Series C
📌 Previous experience in insurance is a plus, but not mandatory

✅ Startup Criteria:

  • Validated product and first traction (inside and outside the insurance sector)
  • Ambition to grow into the German and European markets
  • Willingness to work closely with large corporates

  • Weekly online business development sessions from Sept – Nov.
