This session is designed for founders, legal and compliance professionals and anyone involved in developing or deploying AI and automated decision-making tools within their organisation.
Australia’s new automated decision-making (ADM) transparency requirements are set to commence in December 2026, bringing increased transparency obligations at a time of heightened regulatory and community focus on the use of AI to process personal information.
For insurtechs, understanding what automated decision-making processes support or inform underwriting, claims handling, customer interactions and other technology-driven processes will be critical in the lead up to implementation of the ADM requirements and compliance going forward.
This interactive member education session will be presented by Sophie Bradshaw from Hamilton Locke who will provide a practical overview of the upcoming changes, key compliance considerations, and steps businesses can take now to prepare.
Following the presentation, attendees will be invited to participate in a roundtable discussion to share insights, experiences and perspectives with peers across the insurtech ecosystem.
For members not located in Sydney, we have organised a virtual link to the session. Please indicate whether you intend joining in-person or online when you register.
The link to register for this session has already been sent to Insurtech Australia members and partners. If you didn’t receive this and would like to join, please contact us at hello@insurtechaustralia.org
