Member Education Session:
Modern Building Claims: Where Technology Adds Value and Where It Stops
Kyle Patterson, Group General Manager and Sam Ratcliff, COO, from InsureBuild will co-present this webinar.
About this event
Insurtech Australia, in partnership with InsureBuild, invites members to an education session exploring how technology is currently being used in building and property insurance claims, where it adds the most value, and where human oversight remains essential.
This session will step through key stages of the property claims process, including how technology supports claim triaging, monitoring, and estimator and supervisor workflows, while improving customer transparency and communication. InsureBuild will show how automation and system integration can help reduce delays, manage risk, and support better decision-making, without removing the builder’s responsibility for quality, safety, and outcomes.
Attendees will also gain insight into how integrating site safety forms and defective works orders into everyday workflows can reduce the risk of incidents, limit delays and escalations to AFCA or state tribunals (such as VCAT or QCAT), and help maintain the organisation’s reputation. The discussion will also highlight cost-effective digital solutions, transparency expectations following the Hayne Royal Commission, and how these tools can support work while keeping skilled people in charge.
This webinar will be conducted via MS Teams. Please register to attend this virtual session and join us online on Tuesday, 24th February 2026 at 11:00am AEDT.
