Multi-Hazard Resilience Ratings Scheme

The Resilient Building Council is an independent, national not-for-profit collaboration of bushfire, flood, storm, cyclone, heatwave and energy experts. Their mission is to help every Australian make their home safer. They translate science and research into easy-to-use digital tools to help Australians adapt their homes and access insurance and finance discounts.

RBC is funded by Commonwealth, State and Territory government grants and industry sponsors.

The Multi-Hazard Resilience Ratings Scheme has been developed to measure the performance of buildings to bushfires, floods, cyclones, storms and heatwaves. Its purpose is to help households know what to do, and to enable insurers, banks and markets to recognise and reward effective action.
